Integrated Security Solutions donated a building alarm system, helping raise funds for our sustainable car park project.

A total of £306,065 was donated for solar PV installation and a new pool cover in the children’s pool.

The Swimming Pool Support Fund awarded £306,065 for the installation of solar PV panels and a new pool cover in the children’s pool.

In 2022, Cheltenham Lido was awarded £2,000 from Cheltenham Borough Council’s Jubilee Fund.

In 2017, Cheltenham Lido was awarded £5,000 from Gloucestershire County Council’s Children’s Activity Fund.

In 2021, Cheltenham Lido was granted £51,500 through the Community Leisure Recovery Fund

Enovert Community Trust granted Cheltenham Lido the following:

• £25,000 towards our new boilers in 2020
• £20,000 towards our new solar panels in 2023

Will Merrett and Venta Del Baron donated £1900 towards our solar panels.

Abbey Business Systems donated £4,000 towards pool cover replacement in 2022

The Heritage Lottery Fund awarded us £382,500 for our main pool refurbishment in 2006/2007

Glos Environmental Trust supported Cheltenham Lido in the following Projects

• Purchase of the pool covers in 1999
• Refurbishment of Children’s pool in 2000 – £35,000
• Main pool refurbishment – £50,000

St James Place generously donated £5000 in 2022 which has been put towards improving our accessibility in the lido.

He attended the Sandford Lido daily in the summer to practice diving. The diving boards at the Lido were the inspiration and the catalyst for future personal success and the establishment of a tremendously succesful diving club.

By 1954 David was Western Counties men’s Champion a position he would retain until 1963 when he retired from competing. 

During this period, he established the clubs diving section which trained at the Lido during the summer and on a trampette during the winter. His first three pupils all won district Championships and competed nationally.  The squad grew and soon the club were winning the first three places at Western counties diving championships.
