This August, Cheltenham Lido invites you to experience a unique evening of sound, stillness and restoration, delivered in partnership with Serenity Waves.

Set beneath the open sky and surrounded by the iconic architecture of the Lido. Using crystal bowls, gongs and therapeutic instruments, Serenity Waves will lead a carefully curated sound journey designed to promote deep relaxation and mindfulness.

This event marks an exciting chapter in our growing holistic programme. As a charitable trust, Cheltenham Lido is committed to creating meaningful wellbeing experiences while sustaining this much-loved community space for future generations.

Whether you are new to sound baths or a regular attendee, this promises to be a memorable and atmospheric evening in one of Cheltenham’s most distinctive settings.

What to Expect

• A professionally guided floating sound bath led by Serenity Waves

• A shared experience with up to 90 participants

• A calm, supportive environment suitable for all levels

• Approximately 15 minutes to settle onto the floating beds at the beginning and end of the session

• A dry-side event – no swimming required

Participants will remain lying down for the duration of the experience.

What to Bring

• Comfortable, warm clothing (yoga-style or loose layers are ideal)

• A towel or small cushion for additional comfort

• Any personal comforts you prefer

Blankets and eye masks will be provided.

Practical Notes

• Feet or ankles may become lightly wet when getting on or off the floating beds.

• Please avoid sharp jewellery, pins or zips that could damage equipment.

• Mobile phones must be switched to silent and kept on your person during the session.

• Subtle ambient outdoor sounds may be present and form part of the wider soundscape.

• If you are feeling unwell on the day, please contact us in advance.

Our team will guide you gently and safely on and off the floating beds. There is no rush, and your comfort and dignity are our priority throughout.

A small number of discreet photographs or short video clips may be captured for promotional purposes.
